Coastal Cleanup
Show your support for Alabama's waterways by participating in the Annual Alabama Coastal Cleanup, which is held each year in September. You or your organization can make a difference by volunteering to clean up our cherished coastal area. Cleanup sites in Orange Beach include Boggy Point and Cotton Bayou Public Beach. Shuttling to the islands will be provided for anyone participating in the Boggy Point cleanup. Other Orange Beach area cleanup sites include the Flora-Bama and Ono Island. See a map of all Alabama Coastal Cleanup zone in Baldwin and Mobile County.
For more information about the coastal zones, zone captains, start times, safety tips and a list of event sponsors, visit the Alabama Coastal Cleanup website.
You can also follow the Alabama Coastal Cleanup on Facebook.
Over 100,000 volunteers have assisted in this event since Alabama joined the International Coastal Cleanup in 1987. The organization is grateful to the many helping hands and hearts who have pitched in to benefit our priceless natural resources. In 2019, an average 5,000 volunteers removed 30,000-40,000 pounds of trash at the 32nd Annual Alabama Coastal Cleanup. Also collected were 325 cubic feet of aluminum and plastic Number 1 for recycling. Join us this year as we continue to make Alabama the Beautiful!
Supplies are limited. On the day of the event, come prepared with sunscreen, a hat, gloves, shoes and lots of water. It gets hot!
