WEATHER UPDATE FOR CITY OF ORANGE BEACH

Overall Forecast:

Mostly sunny skies through most the week with some passing clouds that may bring afternoon showers and thunderstorms. Best chance of rain will be Thursday but everyday has a chance of these afternoon showers and thunderstorms. Highs will range in the upper 80s to low 90s with Lows in the low to mid 70s. 

Severe Weather:

Little to no severe weather risk. Pop up showers and thunderstorms are possible this week. Some storms may produce some isolated severe weather events. 

Weekly Forecast:

Monday - Partly sunny skies with clouds moving through that may bring a stray shower along with it. Highs in the low to mid 80s with Lows in the mid to upper 60s

Tuesday - Partly cloudy skies in the morning with more clouds to move in the area by afternoon. A 30% chance these clouds will bring us a shower or thunderstorm. Highs in the mid 80s with Lows in the upper 60s. 

Wednesday - Partly sunny skies with clouds moving in and out of the area. A stray shower is possible with Highs in the mid to upper 80s. Lows will be in the low to mid 70s. 

Thursday - Partly sunny at times but showers and thunderstorms are possible. Highs in the upper 80s to low 90s with Lows in the low 70s. A 50% chance of precipitation. 

Friday - Sunny skies with a few clouds in the afternoon that may have a shower or two in them. Highs in the upper 80s to low 90s with Lows in the low 70s. 

The Weekend - Mostly sunny skies with the chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms. Highs will range in the upper 80s to low 90s with Lows in the low to mid 70s.

Moderate Risk of Rip Currents through the week.

No tropical development is expected for the next 3-5 days for the Gulf and Caribbean.

*A small 20% chance of development for disorganized showers and thunderstorms between the Azores and Canary Islands on the far eastern side of the Atlantic.
