Orange Beach Veterans Memorial
The Orange Beach Veterans Memorial is located on Orange Beach Boulevard in front of the Municipal Complex.
The Veterans Memorial first opened in 2025. An official ribbon-cutting ceremony is planned for Memorial Day, Monday, May 25, 2026, at 9 a.m. The public is invited.
The memorial is anchored by a 30-by-50-foot American flag on a 110-foot pole. Eight other flags and markers recognize the U.S. Army, U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Navy, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Merchant Marines, POW-MIAs, and Orange Beach Police/Fire. Tentative plans are in the works to create a separate police/fire memorial behind the main memorial with an additional sidewalk, and use that current spot for a U.S. Space Force flag and marker.
Commemorative Brick Project
As part of the America 250 Alabama Initiative and as an Official Alabama Semiquincentennial City, the City of Orange Beach has launched a Commemorative Brick Project for veterans and first responders.
If you would like to honor a veteran or a first responder at the Orange Beach Veterans Memorial, a limited number of engravable bricks are available for purchase. The Veterans Memorial is located in front of the Municipal Complex at 4101 Orange Beach Boulevard. The commemorative brick project applies to all veterans, not just to those who have passed away, as well as first responders.
Cost: $200 per engraved brick (4 inches by 8 inches).
What to expect: Once a request is submitted, approved and paid, it can take up to three months for the brick to be put in place. These are gray bricks, engraved (epoxy-filled with black lettering), honoring a veteran and laid near the main entrance to the memorial from the sidewalk on Orange Beach Boulevard. (See image with engraved brick area highlighted in red and a 4x8 brick sample.)
Engraving information: Each brick is allotted three lines of wording with a maximum of 14 characters on each line. Characters include spaces and punctuation marks. Wording is in ALL CAPS ONLY and wording will be centered.
Example:
IN MEMORY OF
JOHN DOE
U.S. AIR FORCE
