Orange Beach residents can dispose of live Christmas trees for recycling by placing trees, completely stripped of decorations and tinsel, on their curbs for pickup by Public Works.
In order to be recycled, trees must be stripped of all decorations and they cannot be flocked. Flocked trees are not recyclable and will not be picked up for recycling.
The Orange Beach Garden Club has named the winners of the 2019 “Light Up Orange Beach” contest.
In the residential category, which includes a cash prize, the winners are:
- First Place - John and Cynthia McCabe on Palmetto Drive
- Second Place - Pat and Claudia Simpson on Harbor Road
- Third Place - Steve and Debbie Taylor on East Beach Boulevard
The Monthly Community Potluck will be held on Monday, January 6th at the Orange Beach Community Center. The guest speaker will be Orange Beach Mayor Tony Kennon.
Mayor Kennon will speak on current, past and future city activities.
