Orange Beach Fire Department’s Surf Rescue Division will be hosting a United States Lifesaving Association Lifeguard Course on February 23-24 and March 2-3 from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. at the Orange Beach Fire Administration Building at 25853 John Snook Drive, behind City Hall. The successful completion of the course is required for the open lifeguarding positions.

Potential lifeguards are required to complete a 500-meter swim in less than 10 minutes, and lifeguard trainees will learn and be tested in a variety of lifesaving skills and techniques during the course. Starting pay for lifeguards is $14.10 per hour.
