On Thursday, June 27th, the nonprofit Friends of Army Aviation-Ozark returns to Orange Beach to offer helicopter rides in a vintage Vietnam War-era Bell UH-1 Huey combat helicopter from the helipad near Orange Beach Event Center at The Wharf.

The flights will begin at 9 a.m., weather permitting, and last until 5 p.m. Each flight will last approximately 10 minutes and the cost is $50 per person. There is room for up to 10 people on each flight.

The flights will take off and land from the helipad at Wharf Parkway West.

The public is invited to come out and experience history and take a ride with Friends of Army Aviation-Ozark. Seeing the beauty of Orange Beach from above in a helicopter is a breathtaking experience.

The Friends of Army Aviation - Ozark is an IRS 501(c)3 Veterans nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving the legacy of U.S. Army Aviation through its museum and flyable Vietnam-era aircraft.
