Following a successful June 16th Full Moon Paddle fundraiser, the City of Orange Beach Friends and Family Relay for Life team is gearing up for the July 14th paddle, which will be the last one of the summer.
On June 16th, Jesse Perry entertained the paddlers, Southern Grind provided dinner and Orange Beach Police Marine 1 watched over the group as they crossed Wolf Bay. On Sunday, July 16th, Funky Lampshades will provide the music, and Luna’s will serve up dinner.
The events are held each summer at the Wind & Water Learning Center at 26267 Canal Road, behind the Orange Beach Public Library. Dinner on the grounds begins at 6:15 p.m. and then everyone heads out onto Wolf Bay from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
Registration fee is $25 per person. Everyone must be pre-registered by noon Friday, July 12th. Online registration is available at www.eventbrite.com.
Print out a registration form for the July 14th Full Moon Paddle by clicking here or pick one up at any city recreation facility in Orange Beach. All funds raised benefit the American Cancer Society – Relay for Life effort.
Participants must bring their own kayak or canoe, personal floatation device (PFD) and white light (headlamps work best).
