Fall full of community events in Orange Beach

It's officially the "off season" once again and there is a full slate of community events planned in coming weeks and months. Following is a list of upcoming activities. Be sure to check the Events Calendar on the City Website for the most up-to-date information and save the dates! 

  • September 21: 32nd Annual Alabama Coastal Cleanup with cleanup locations in Orange Beach, 8 a.m.-noon 
  • September 22: City of Orange Beach Community Picnic on lawn at Coastal Arts Center, 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m. 
  • October 2: Orange Beach Police Department’s Coffee with a Cop at McDonald's, 8-10 a.m.
  • October 3: Gallery Reception - “A Walk in the Woods,” featuring wood artists Larry Manuel, Peter von Glahn, and Mike Francis, at Coastal Arts Center of Orange Beach
  • October 17: “Arts Afire” fall festival at Coastal Arts Center of Orange Beach, 5:30-7:30 p.m.
  • October 20: Free Baldwin Pops Concert at Coastal Arts Center courtyard, 5-6:30 p.m. 
  • October 27: Music Recital & Variety Show, presented by the City of Orange Beach Expect Excellence program, at Orange Beach Community Center, 2 p.m.  
  • October 30: Dinner Theatre, "The Violinist," at Coastal Arts Center of Orange Beach, 6 p.m. (Ticket info will be posted on City Website soon.)  
  • November 3: Brunch Theatre - “The Story of Mankie: A Parody of L. Frank Baum’s American Fairy Tales” at Orange Beach Community Center, 12:30 p.m. (Ticket info will be posted on City Website soon.) 
  • November 13-14: “American Fairy Tales” play at Orange Beach Event Center, 6:30 p.m. (Ticket info will be posted on City Website soon.)  
  • November 14: Frank Brown International Songwriters Festival at Coastal Arts Center of Orange Beach
  • December 3: City of Orange Beach’s annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony on Main Street at The Wharf, 5:30 p.m.
  • December 6: Taste of the Islands, hosted by the Mystical Order of Mirams, at Orange Beach Event Center
  • December 7: Gingerbread Jam at Orange Beach Event Center, 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Gingerbread house-building competition for families and businesses with holiday music performances.
  • December 12: "Light Up The Arts" Christmas event at Coastal Arts Center of Orange Beach
  • December 14: 2019 Mako Drawdown, hosted by MAAAC, at Orange Beach Event Center
  • December 19: Roman Street performs Listening Room Christmas concert at Coastal Arts Center, sponsored by L.A. Properties team at RE/MAX of Orange Beach
  • December 20: “Winter Wonderland” at the Backcountry Trail trailhead at Orange Beach Sportsplex, 5:30.-8 p.m. Free event includes “snow,” sledding, hot chocolate, cookies and other Santa-filled fun.
