Free Special Screening of “Stories in Rhyme - The Songwriters of the Flora-Bama Lounge” on Oct. 23, 2019

The public is invited to a free Special Screening of “Stories in Rhyme - The Songwriters of the Flora-Bama Lounge” at 6 p.m. Wednesday, October 23rd at the Gulf State Park Conservation Hall. Doors open at 5:45 p.m.

The Conservation Hall is located behind the Gulf State Park headquarters on State Hwy. 135 in Gulf Shores, down the street from Walmart.

Additional lane closures on October 10th on Canal Road and State Hwy. 161

In addition to a section of the northerly westbound lane of Canal Road remaining closed around Cosmo's and Luna's as part of ALDOT’s road widening project, Orange Beach Water Authority will be performing corrective work to an asphalt patch located in front of the new school site between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Thursday, October 10th.

National Prescription Drug Take Back Day set for October 26, 2019

The Orange Beach Police Department is partnering with Walmart Neighborhood Market to host a National Prescription Drug Take Back Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 26th at the  pharmacy inside the Walmart Neighborhood Market. 

It’s an opportunity for the public to dispose of unused prescription drugs. Remove any labels on the pill bottles and bring them to the pharmacy....
