National Prescription Drug Take Back Day set for October 26, 2019

The Orange Beach Police Department is partnering with Walmart Neighborhood Market to host a National Prescription Drug Take Back Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 26th at the  pharmacy inside the Walmart Neighborhood Market. 

It’s an opportunity for the public to dispose of unused prescription drugs. Remove any labels on the pill bottles and bring them to the pharmacy....

2019 Winter Youth Sports registration open Oct. 7-31 for basketball and co-ed flag football

Orange Beach Winter Youth Sports registration will be open from October 7th to October 31st for basketball and co-ed flag football. 

Basketball will be open to boys and girls who are 5-14 years old as of Sept. 1, 2019. The registration fee is $70. Basketball will not conflict with flag football.

A single-lane closure on Canal Road, between Ace Hardware and Cosmo’s, is scheduled to continue through next week (Week of Oct. 7, 2019). This road work, associated with ALDOT’s widening of Canal Road, has required that section of the northerly westbound lane to remain closed.
