Renee Gardner recognized for 30 years of service to City of Orange Beach

During the council meeting on January 21, 2020, Orange Beach Mayor Tony Kennon and the City Council presented Municipal Court Director Renee Gardner with a Certificate of Recognition for her 30 years of dedicated service to the city.

VOICES of Mobile to perform at Coastal Arts Center on February 7th

The Coastal Arts Center of Orange Beach will be hosting VOICES of Mobile on Friday, February 7th as part of its Acoustic Arts concert series. Concert tickets are $20 in advance.

The concert will take place in the gallery listening room from 6-8 p.m.  Call the Arts Center at 251-981-ARTS (2787) for tickets. Seating is limited. The Coastal Art Center is at 26389 Canal Road.

Orange Beach Golf Center aerial

The Orange Beach Golf Center will host the monthly Skins Game Tournament on Sunday, February 2nd, with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. The public is welcome. 

There are Skins on all 18 holes, a closest-to-the-pin contest, and $250 for a hole-in-one on any of the 18 holes.

Sand volleyball courts at Orange Beach Sportsplex

Registration for Orange Beach Co-ed Youth Sand Volleyball will be open from February 10-February 28, 2020.

Registration details, by age, are as follows:

  • 12U Division - Boys and girls ages 10-12 years old on May 1, 2020 - $60 Registration fee
  • 16U Division - Boys and girls ages 13-16 years old on May 1, 2020 - $60 Registration fee

Public input needed at Feb. 6 meeting for Watershed Management Plan, covering Perdido Pass and Little Lagoon

Do you live, work or play on Little Lagoon or Perdido Pass? If so, the Mobile Bay National Estuary Program and Geosyntec needs your input.

A Watershed Management Plan is in the planning phase for the watersheds of Little Lagoon and Perdido Pass. These waterways comprise the Gulf Frontal Watershed and includes the cities of Gulf Shores and Orange Beach.
