City of Orange Beach receives 2019 Alabama PALS Governor’s Award for Coastal Cleanup

The City of Orange Beach was the recipient of the 2019 Coastal Cleanup Award in Montgomery on Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at the 2019 Alabama PALS Governor’s Awards ceremony.

On hand to accept the award were City of Orange Beach Coastal Resources Director Phillip West, Wade Stevens and Nicole Woerner.

The city was selected for this award by the ADCNR State Lands Coastal Section and the Alabama People Against a Littered State. A big thank you goes out to Coastal Resources and city staff as well as volunteers for their work each year during the Annual Coastal Cleanup and throughout the year in keeping our beaches and waterways clean.
