BIRMINGHAM, Alabama (August 27, 2020) - The Southeastern Conference has established new start dates and formats for the SEC cross country, soccer and volleyball seasons as well as the fall golf and tennis seasons, as the 14 members of the SEC continue to monitor developments related to COVID-19, SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey announced Thursday.

The City of Orange Beach’s Continuing Excellence program for adults has a full slate of free programs, events and activities lined up for Fall 2020 at the Orange Beach Recreation Center.

Decades of effort and hard work finally came to fruition on Monday, August 10, 2020 when Baldwin County Board of Education officials joined Orange Beach leaders, as well as state and county officials, to celebrate the opening of the new Orange Beach High and Middle School.
A prescribed burn is planned at Gulf State Park as part of a forest management plan associated with longleaf pine restoration, wildfire fuel reduction and invasive species control. The 140-acre burn will take place in a section of the park’s campground between August 18 and September 3, 2020, weather permitting.
