The city of Orange Beach is moving ahead with plans to provide better emergency medical treatment for residents and tourists.

In Orange Beach, our motto is “Life is Better Here.” Why? Because we are home to Alabama’s sugar-white beaches and we are stewards of those beaches. They belong to the people of Alabama.
After three months of training, 24 written tests and over 70 skills evaluations, the Orange Beach Fire Department Firefighter I/II Recruit School Class of 2018 graduated on November 14th.

During the Thanksgiving holiday, non-essential city offices will close at noon Wednesday, November 21st and all day Thursday and Friday, November 22nd and 23rd.
Concerning trash pickup, the usual Friday residential routes will run on Saturday.
City offices will open, with normal business hours, on Monday, November 26th.
The Orange Beach Planning Commission is scheduled to meet at 3 p.m. Wednesday, November 14th for its work session followed by its 4 p.m. regular meeting in the Council Chambers at City Hall. The meeting was rescheduled from Monday, November 12th due to the Veterans Day observance.
ORANGE BEACH – The Alabama Retail Association has selected Orange Beach as a 2018 host city for its third annual Shop Alabama for the Holidays tour! Alabama Retail will promote the statewide shopping initiative and announce its new holiday hashtag campaign, #DoubleYourGift, during the city’s annual Christmas Tree Lighting on Tuesday, Nov. 27 at 5:30 pm at The Wharf.
The Orange Beach City Council will hold its regular meeting at 5 p.m. Tuesday, November 13th, followed by the Committee of the Whole meeting. This is a rescheduled meeting time - a week earlier than normal - due to the Thanksgiving holiday.
