The Wharf Postpones Outdoor New Year’s Eve Events to New Year’s Day Due to Severe Weather Threats

ORANGE BEACH, Ala. (Dec. 31, 2020) — The Wharf’s annual New Year’s Eve events, including both the Kids Confetti Drop presented by Beachball Properties and Reelin’ in the New Year presented by Pepsi, WKRG and Miller Lite, have been postponed due to projected severe weather conditions in the area. The two events will now be combined and take place on Friday, Jan. 1, 2021 from 4 p.m. - 9 p.m....

A recycled Christmas tree is shown in the dune system at Gulf State Park

Orange Beach residents can dispose of live Christmas trees for recycling by placing trees, completely stripped of decorations and tinsel, on their curbs for pickup by Public Works.

In order to be recycled, trees must be stripped of all decorations and they cannot be flocked.
Flocked trees are not recyclable and will not be picked up for recycling.
