Class description:
Originating in the beautiful Dominic Republic, and the easiest to learn, Merengue is based on a Latin march moving the hips sideways while lifting the heels. After mastering the Merengue march, which takes a few minutes, we teach the different variations (sideways, back and forth, rotation), and of course the art of spinning which applies to every one of these three rhythms. This class is open to singles and couples.
Appropriate clothing:
Athletic/comfortable clothes
Slick/suede sole shoes for men
Slick/suede sole flats or low heel shoes for ladies (no spikes or stilettos)
