Biography
Annette Mitchell was appointed to the City Council in August of 2014 and served as Mayor Pro-Tem to 2020. Since 2009, she has served on the Finance Committee, the Planning Commission, the Gulf Coast Healthcare Authority and the Business Advisory Board. Mitchell is an active community volunteer, also serving on the boards of the Orange Beach Garden Club and Sirens of the Sea Mardi Gras Krewe. Raised and educated in the Midwest, Mitchell relocated to Orange Beach following a 25-year automotive industry career. Recently widowed, Annette has resided in Orange Beach since 2000 and is her mother's primary caregiver.
