Orange Beach Mardi Gras parade

The city will hold its 2024 Orange Beach Mardi Gras Parade at 2 p.m. on Fat Tuesday, February 13th on Perdido Beach Boulevard, beginning at the traffic signal near Wolf Bay Restaurant. The parade will end at the intersection of Highway 161 and Perdido Beach Boulevard near the Publix shopping center. Please note where the medians begin, near the Romar Beach Access, the floats will stay in the eastbound lanes (southside of the beach highway).

To kick of the festivities, two Navy training planes are scheduled - weather permitting - to do a flyover as the parade starts rolling.

Other participants will include bands from Orange Beach High School and Gulf Shores High School, Gulf Shores ROTC, and over 80 units, including city vehicles, OBMHS Softball Team, The Marshals motorcycles, Mystics of Pleasure, Order of Aurora, Treasures of the Isle, Krewe of the Silver Panthers, Krewe of Lafitte, Sirens of the Sea, Order of Disorder, Lost Key Krewe, Bon Temps Cabrix, Treasures of the Isle, Sirens of the Sea, Order of Disorder, Maidens in Pink Stilettos, Pyrates of Perdido Bay, Pirates of Lost Treasure, Order of Misfits, Mystic Order of Revelry, Maidens of Mischief, Krewe of Aphrodite, Krewe of Andres Depez, Krewe of Airship Pirates, Coastal Alabama Business Chamber, Krewe De Brew, Krewe de Swan, and Bon Temps Cabrix, among others.

Road closure advisory

During the parade on Tuesday, February 13th, Perdido Beach Boulevard will be closed - between Phoenix West II and State Highway 161 - to vehicular traffic from as early as 1 p.m. until as late as 4 p.m. Exact lane closure times will vary leading up to the start of each parade.
