Continuing Excellence
Fall 2022 / Spring 2023 Programs
The City of Orange Beach’s Continuing Excellence program for adults is offering a variety of free programs for the Fall 2022/Spring 2023 season at the Orange Beach Recreation Center and other facilities. Registration is open.
Although the programs are free, registration is required and must be completed online via ActiveNet. Each participant must have an account. View Creating an Activenet Account Instructions (PDF) for more information.

Ballet, Tap, &Jazz
11 am to Noon
Orange Beach Tennis Center building, with instructor Rio Cordy. Classes begin on September 12th and end on May 15th (no class during the Christmas holidays). Class size is limited.

Beginner Spanish
6 pm to 7 pm
Orange Beach Recreation Center in Room 1, with instructor Uilma Meehan. Classes begin on September 12th and end on May 15th (no class during the Christmas holidays).

Performing Arts Costume & Prop Projects
3 pm to 5 pm
Orange Beach Performing Arts Center, with instructors Krista Williams and Stacie Brane. The Costume & Prop Projects class will begin on January 3rd and end on May 16th (no class during the Christmas holidays).

Creative Writing Workshop
12:30 pm to 1:30 pm
Orange Beach Recreation Center building in Room 3, with instructor Rebecca Davis-Brown. Classes begin on February 10th and end on May 19th.

Adult Ballet & Stretching

The City of Orange Beach utilizes the ActiveNet website to handle online registrations and activity sign-ups.
For your convenience, you can search, enroll and pay registration fees all on ActiveNet from the comfort of your computer or on your Smartphone. To get started - an account must be created.
Once an account is created and children/family members are added, the information will be saved for future activity registrations.
To register for activities, you will need to create an Active Orange Beach account.

Step One
Start by accessing our new site at the City of Orange Beach website.
Steps Two and Three
Click "Sign In/Up" Then on the Sign In page, click "Join" below the Sign In button.
Steps Four and Five
- Enter your email address. Click "Next."
- Fill in your name, and date of birth and create a password. Required fields are denoted by a red asterisk.
- Accept Terms of Use and click "Next."
Steps Six
- Fill in your Personal Information. Under "Phone," use the dropdown and select "Cell Phone." Then select your "Operator" (carrier - AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, etc.) and add your cell number. Required fields are denoted by a red asterisk.
- Click "Submit."
Please note: Cell phone numbers are required. It is an essential communication tool for the sports director/staff and volunteer coaches.
Step Seven
- Congratulations, you have created your Active Orange Beach account! You will receive an email to activate your account.
- Once the account is activated, you can register for an activity.
