The citizens of Orange Beach are the highest level in the City's organization chart. They directly elect the Mayor and the five other members of the City Council.
The six members of the City Council appoint the members the City's Boards and Commissions. The Boards and Commissions serve as advisory bodies to the Council.
The Mayor and Council select and confirm the City Administrator, who is responsible for the administration of City services and programs, enforcement of the City's Municipal Code and ordinances, and preparation of the annual budget. The department directors are selected and confirmed by the City Council.
